Boogie Software and iSoft.ai have signed a partnership agreement, which will further boost the quality of artificial intelligence expertise within the Oulu region. This co-operation will see iSoft.ai license its cutting-edge AI platform to Boogie Software for further development, with future projects that use this technology to be undertaken by both companies.

This deal is a timely one, given the increasingly fast emergence of artificial intelligence. Many companies are now considering how best to incorporate this technology into their own work processes and solutions. As part of this new collaboration, Boogie Software is responsible for the continued development of the AI platform and related customer projects.

“Artificial intelligence is currently a highly discussed topic in software development and will play an increasingly significant role in service development,” explained Jukka Parkkinen, CEO of Boogie Software. “With this agreement, we gain access to several years of development work and take a flying start in the development of AI-based applications.”

iSoft.ai has been in business for half a decade, but they have already made great strides forward in their work. Some of their clients that are currently benefitting from their custom solutions include Oulu University Hospital (OYS), Bauer Media and Turun Sanomat, a widely circulated newspaper based in the south-west region of Finland.

“At iSoft.ai, we have been developing AI-based solutions utilising speech, computer vision, and NLP technologies since 2018,” said Erkki Lohiniva, founder of iSoft.ai. “The market for AI solutions is now experiencing significant growth, driven in part by the rise of advanced conversational AI models. Collaborating with Boogie Software enhances our ability to offer our customers new and advanced AI solutions, utilising the latest AI technologies such as OpenAI’s ChatGPT.”

Partnerships like this are vital for the local ecosystem, as they can generate more business opportunities and deepen the level of AI expertise and knowledge within the Oulu region.
