🇫🇮 Ilmatar appoints Juha Juntunen as Chief Operating Officer

Juha Juntunen, 50, has been appointed as Ilmatar’s Chief Operating Officer (COO) and a member of the Management Team as of 21 August 2023. In this new position at Ilmatar, Juntunen will be responsible for construction, electricity generation and business development.

– As Ilmatar grows and the number of our projects and electricity generation increase, we need a competent and experienced person to take our operative business to the next level. Juha Juntunen’s profile matches this perfectly. Juha has extensive experience in leading overall business operations, and he knows energy industry´s transition well, comments Ilmatar’s CEO Juha-Pekka Weckström.

Juntunen comes to Ilmatar from Oulun Energia, where he worked as CEO from 2020. Before Oulun Energia, he worked at Technopolis in different positions, the last being Chief Operating Officer. Juntunen has a degree in Engineering.
