🇮🇸 Applications are open for Gulleggið 2025
KLAK – Icelandic Startups encourages everyone who has an idea and those who want to participate without an idea to submit an application to Gulleggið 2025!
Gulleggið, the biggest entrepreneurship competition in the country, has been held by KLAK-Icelandic Startups since 2008 and is an entrepreneurship competition held at the beginning of each year. The competition is specially designed for innovation at the concept level and is open to everyone, both idea creators and people interested in innovation who want to express themselves.
Gullegg’s Masterclass
Gullegg’s Masterclass will be held on the weekend of 25-26 January, but there is an open and free two-day course in innovation and the establishment of start-up companies. The masterclass consists of workshops and lectures, where a number of experienced entrepreneurs and experts help entrepreneurs with their first steps.
Gullegg’s Masterclass will also be held in Akureyri, where it will be live streamed and a representative from KLAK will be there to help, for example with the preparation of the application for the final competition.
In order to participate in the competition, you have to go through Gullegg’s Masterclass.
The universities’ idea sprint
The Universities’ Idea Sprint will be held for the first time on the weekend of 4-5. January, where the goal is to develop an idea and create an introduction to it. . The event will be open to all university students in the country and is an opportunity to find a team and develop an innovative idea within a strong supportive environment – which can then be submitted to Gulleggið.
Ten teams are then selected for the Gullegg’s final competition, which will take place in Gróska’s festival hall on February 14, 2025.
