We are pleased to announce that Sofie Cammers will join Marel as Executive Vice President Meat as of 1 April 2023. She will report to Arni Sigurdsson, Chief Business Officer and Deputy CEO.

In this role, Sofie will lead and drive Meat’s strategy to partner with our customers and strengthen our position as a global leader within the meat processing industry.

Sofie brings 17 years of managerial experience from global companies within chemical, science-based, and diversified manufacturing industries. With a track record of leading change and profit improvement, she has successfully developed sustainable and scalable organizations while driving commercial excellence and market growth. Sofie joins us from ERIKS, a specialized industrial service provider of engineering components and technical services to industrial companies. As Managing Director at ERIKS, she led multiple European sales, service, and production sites. Her previous experience also counts leadership roles at large global companies such as DSM – a global leader within science-based health nutrition and performance materials, and Covestro – a large chemical raw material producer and Bayer spin-off. She has lived and worked in the US, Europe, and Asia.

Sofie holds a master’s degree of Science in Commercial Engineering from Katholieke Universiteit Leuven, Belgium, and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Chicago, Booth School of Business.
