ROG.e Conference 2024, Rio de Janeiro:

The partnership will allow the OceanPact Digital platform to become even more complete using KSAT satellite data.

OceanPact Digital already offers environmental, location, camera and telemetry data from vessels, including oceanographic data obtained in situ – such as from ROV operations, OSD and HF radars. With KSAT satellite data incorporated into OceanPact Digital, the platform’s clients will have greater precision in controlling offshore operations and speed in responding to possible incidents.

Improves delivery further

According to OceanPact’s Innovation Director, Arthur Kós, this is yet another move by OceanPact to stay ahead in the market.

– Innovation is in our DNA, and OceanPact Digital is one of our products that concentrates on a single platform much of the best we can offer our customers. When we bring KSAT onto the platform, we improve delivery even further and take another leap forward. It’s the market that wins, with an even more calibrated product, he says.

Best oil spill detection product

KSAT pioneered the use of synthetic aperture radar (SAR) for oil spill detection more than 25 years ago. The company is recognized by the European Maritime Safety Agency (EMSA) for having the best oil spill detection product in the world.

– KSAT draws satellite imagery from the largest available virtual constellation of SAR and optical satellites, which qualifies the maritime situational awareness response. We are very excited about this partnership with OceanPact. It’s an opportunity for us to bring our service to Brazil and further expand our network, Helder Carvalhais, KSAT’s commercial director says.
