🇳🇴 NIB signs loan agreement with Statkraft in Norway

NIB has signed a 10-year loan agreement with Statkraft AS, Europe’s largest renewable power generator, to support its investment programme.

The USD 339 million (approximately NOK 3.5 billion) loan will finance Statkraft’s ongoing efforts to strengthen its renewable energy portfolio and maintain its leading role in sustainable power generation.

Statkraft is Europe’s largest producer of renewable energy. The company generates hydropower, wind power, solar power and gas power, and supplies district heating. The company has over 7,000 employees and operates in more than 20 countries.

NIB is an international financial institution owned by eight member countries: Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Iceland, Latvia, Lithuania, Norway and Sweden. The Bank finances private and public projects in and outside the member countries.
