🇸🇪 Arctic Falls builds new testing hall

The test company Arctic Falls in Älvsbyn in Norrbotten is investing SEK 100 million in a new testing facility for the automotive and tire industry.
In the new 7,600 square meter hall, vehicles can be winter tested all year round. It will complement the outdoor facility currently located at the same site. Arctic Falls now has a total of seven permanent test facilities in Älvsbyn and Piteå, five outdoors and two indoors.
“The automotive and tire industry today has ambitious sustainability goals that affect the entire value chain. Our unique investment in year-round winter climate helps our customers to reach their sustainability goals faster. We want to speed up the transition and there is demand from customers, so we have decided to build a third indoor facility,” says Jonas Jalar, CEO of Arctic Falls.
The new hall will be completed in the spring of 2024. With the new investment, Arctic Falls has invested a total of SEK 350 million since 2009. In the facilities, car and tire manufacturers from all over the world can test and develop new solutions.
Recruitment of new employees has begun with the aim of adding ten new employees in the coming year. Arctic Falls currently has 30 employees.

Arctic Falls has a strong position in the testing industry, with customers among world-leading car and tire manufacturers. The company has a turnover of approximately SEK 100 million.
The vehicle testing industry in Norrbotten is a well-established cluster, in a region that has become important for the international automotive and tire industry.
