Press release from KLAK

Fifteen companies received grants of ISK 1-5 million from the Íslandsbanki Entrepreneurship Fund, and 90 applications were received.

We are very proud of all the shoots that received funding from the Íslandsbanki Entrepreneurship Fund, but it is especially nice to see that shoots from accelerators, entrepreneurial competitions and growth spaces on behalf of KLAK a grant was allocated.

The shoots of BioBuildingOn To Something , and the trio at Sara – a girl with ADHD just completed MIT designX’s 16-week workshops, Startup Social on the road KLAK and Höfði Reykjavík Peace Centre recently with a presentation of their projects. It is therefore increased satisfaction to see that they were allocated a grant from the Íslandsbanki Entrepreneurship Fund.

The founders of BioBuilding are Anna Karlsdóttir and Jan Dobrowolski. On To Something’s wand doubles are María Kristín Jónsdóttir and Sara Jónsdóttir. The team at Sara – a girl with ADHD is Sara Rós Guðmundsdóttir, Katla Margrét Aradóttir and Stella Rún Steinþórsdóttir.

The entrepreneurial duo at Lilja also received a grant, while Inga Henriksen and Árdís Einarsdóttir signed up for Gulleggið 2022. They, like many idea creators and entrepreneurs, went through the Masterclass of the Golden Egg, finishing in the top 10 and making a small impact, winning 3rd place in the Golden Egg. It’s been an adventure to watch the duo build the startup.

Startup SuperNova was held in August this year, and Deed Delivery was one of the startups that went through the business accelerator. Deed Delivery is the first consumer-oriented communication platform for package delivery. Magnús Sigurbjörnsson, Þorvaldur Skúlasson and Einar Jónsson have done well this year and it will be fun to watch the trio in the future.
