Jørgen Hammeken-Holm to continue as head of Greenland mining ministry
Jørgen Hammeken-Holm is to continue as the permanent secretary for Greenland’s natural resources and justice ministries, the Self-Rule Authority has announced.
Mr Hammeken-Holm, 54, has served as a permanent secretary in the Self-Rule Authority since 2015.
“Jørgen Hammeken-Holm is a well-known face in the Self-Rule Authority. He has solid and in-depth knowledge of mining issues and Greenlandic society,” Aqqaluaq B Egede, the mining and justice minister, says.
Prior to being appointed permanent secretary, Mr Hammeken-Holm held managerial positions in the mining industry.
He holds a degree in law and he has lived in Greenland for the past 24 years.
