Arctic Space Technologies provides innovative uplink and satellite communications solutions which has the potential to completely redefine the mechanism of content delivery over satellite. Virtualized, orchestrated and software defined satellite ground segment applications such as HTTP based Multicast Uplink is merged with DVB-S2X allowing far edges (such as 5G base stations) to subscribe and cache all HTTP responses on the satcom network. By doing this, we can together with the caching solutions of our Swedish Partner Varnish Software minimize traffic over a satellite network and CDN to a minimum. This better utilization of radio frequency spectrum and reduced traffic on the CDN lowers the operators cost while at the same time it improves the Quality of Service for the end-user by cutting the latency to the satellite.
