The National Intellectual Property Administration of the P.R.C. (CNIPA) has awarded Cerenion its second patent on C-Trend® in China.
The patent is second in China and eight in total.
The EEG signal is processed by the C-Trend Index algorithm in C-Trend technology to produce the C-Trend Index, which is a single number. The Index is a single value between 0 and 100 that describes the patient’s EEG slow wave activity. Slow wave activity, which takes place during sedation and deep sleep, is crucial for a healthy brain. The patent gives protection to this EEG’s slow-wave activity that is utilized in the C-Trend index, which can be used to assess the brain activity of an unconscious patient, especially after cardiac arrest.
Cerenion C-Trend technology has been granted patents in the United States, The European Union, Japan, and China and multiple intellectual property applications have been filed worldwide.
