Controlant becomes sponsor of Golden Egg 2023

Controlant won Gulleggið in 2009 and now come in as a sponsor of the Golden Egg 2023, the country’s largest entrepreneurial competition, thus giving back to the innovation and entrepreneurial community in Iceland.

Controlant knows firsthand how important it is to support startups and entrepreneurs, and it recognized the founders of Controlant to receive Gulleggið tremendous encouragement to continue the development of the company and put their ideas into practice.

Since then, Controlant has grown and thrived, and today the company employs around 420 people in five countries to develop, manufacture and service monitoring solutions used by the world’s largest pharmaceutical companies to ensure medicines and vaccines arrive safely and efficiently at their destination.

Controlant has won numerous awards and recognitions, both here in Iceland and abroad, including the Growth Spurt 2022 for the strong development of a start-up company, the President of Iceland’s Export Award 2021 and the Icelandic Innovation Prize 2020.

Continued growth is expected over the next few years as there has rarely been a greater need for safe, efficient and traceable transportation of sensitive medicines with sustainability and waste minimisation as a guiding principle.

This year, Controlant is celebrating its 15th anniversary and celebrates being able at that juncture to support entrepreneurs who want to put their ideas into practice.
