Greenland Business Association statement on Trump

The Greenland Business Association has released a statement on its LinkedIn site addressing the precarious situation that has arisen following Trump’s latest statement on his desire to take control of Greenland:

“Greenland’s relationship with the U.S.

It creates too much insecurity when a superpower like the United States expresses a desire for increased control over Greenland. The insecurity is only heightened when it is justified with security policy concerns.

The Greenland Business Association rejects the rhetoric and the desire for control. Greenland is ours and our future must be shaped by us! Preferably with strong trade relations with the world, built on trust and respect.

We are closely monitoring the situation and fully support the Government of Greenland’s approach of finding solutions to security policy issues through negotiation and dialogue. In Greenland, we stand united!
