Press release from KLAK

Start-up and Vasta grant recipients who received funding from the Technology Development Fund in the spring of 2022 gathered on the final day of Dafna in Gróska’s auditorium. Freyr Friðfinnsson, project manager of Dafna, opened an event. The cooperation between the Technical Development Fund was reviewed and Klak about Thrive currently offers for all who have received Start-up and Growth Series from the Technology Development Fund.

Grant recipients made effective lift presentations to a great celebration of the attendees, but those that were allocated in the autumn and recently started in Dafna’s workshops were also invited on the final day.

Dafna is a collaborative project of the Technology Development Fund and KLAK and is intended for beneficiaries who receive support from the Start-up and Growth grant categories in the Spring and Autumn allocation of the Technology Development Fund. KLAK supervises Dafna and the grant recipients are invited to participate in workshops in Gróska and access to mentors who assist the beneficiaries in their product development. Mentoring community KLAK VMS consists of experienced industry players and is built in partnership with MIT, which has developed its mentoring arrangements for over two decades.

Cooperation between the Technology Development Fund and KLAK will better support projects that vary in the innovation chain, from conceptualisation to projects with advanced product development. Thrive is a unique opportunity for entrepreneurs and innovative companies to succeed along the path they are on.

With the agreement, the Technical Development Fund is expanding services to beneficiaries and thereby establishing Dafna as a support system for start-ups that have received funding from the fund.
