NASA’s Ice Bridge mission yields stunning aerial views of the Arctic

Getty photographer Mario Tama rode along with NASA scientists to record the state of glaciers in Greenland. This trip was part of a NASA project called Ice Bridge. Ice Bridge documents the state of ice sheets in the Arctic and Antarctic. See the full photo essay here.
