Common to these regions was that they had a strong first quarter during the winter season of 2024.

The regions with the worst development were Kronoberg, Jämtland and Gotland, whose guest nights fell by between 3 and 4 percent.

The average for the whole country was a 0.7% increase in guest nights. This is the third consecutive year that guest nights have increased in Sweden.
