Overnight stays by foreign visitors in Lapland increased by one fifth in December 2022

According to Statistics Finland’s preliminary data, the number of nights spent by visitors was 12 per cent higher in December 2022 than one year earlier.

In total, 1.07 million overnight stays were recorded for resident visitors, which is five per cent more than in December 2021. For non-resident visitors, 0.73 million overnight stays were recorded, which is nearly one quarter more than in December 2021.
