Russia holds military drills in the Arctic

Russia’s coastal defense units and Northern Fleet ships conducted live-fire rocket, artillery and anti-aircraft drills in the Arctic.

According to the Russian Ministry of Defense, ships and military hardware were used to stage defense techniques in the scenario of attacks by sea or air on the archipelago of the New Siberian Islands.

Video of the exercises released by the ministry on Wednesday (September 20) showed anti-aircraft missile launchers opening fire as well as multiple rockets launched from ships.
