Successful implementation of the project will help reduce food prices for residents of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia)

Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin signed a decree on expanding the boundaries of the priority development area “Yakutia”. The document is published on the official Internet portal of legal information here.

The territory of advanced development will include a land plot with an area of 24 hectares located in the Megino-Kangalassky region of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia). This will make it possible to implement a large investment project to create a wholesale distribution center (ORC) in the village of Nizhny Bestyakh. Recall that the total area of the Yakutia ASEZ before the expansion was 341.89 hectares.

The potential resident intends to invest more than 250 million rubles in the project and ensure the creation of several dozen jobs. The project provides for the construction of a transport terminal, thermal storage facilities, production facilities and infrastructure. The wholesale distribution center will become a logistics hub for food suppliers and local agricultural producers, where they will prepare their goods for further transportation to Yakutsk and regions of the republic. The project was presented as part of a working trip to Yakutsk by Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation – Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of the Russian Federation in the Far Eastern Federal District Yuri Trutnev during a meeting on the territories of advanced development of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia).

“Entrepreneurs will have the opportunity on preferential terms to locate their offices at the site of the wholesale distribution center, use the infrastructure and storage facilities. A mechanism for the provision of transport services in a “single window” will be organized for them, ”said Aryan Pavlov, director of ORC Nizhny Bestyakh, and added that the status of a resident of the Yakutia ASEZ will allow the investor to accelerate the implementation of the project through tax incentives and preferences.

As the head of the Megino-Kangalassky region Nikolai Starostin noted, the preferences of the ASEZ regime and the introduction of new logistics solutions due to the launch of a wholesale distribution center will have a positive effect on the cost of goods, reducing the cost of their transportation.

“At present, food products and agricultural products from the trans-riverine regions, as a rule, are delivered to Yakutsk through Nizhny Bestyakh. Some of the goods destined for the regions located in the eastern part of the republic go back to Nizhniy Bestyakh. As a result, such a scheme is an increase in costs and prices for the end user. By solving such logistic problems, we expect an increase in the competitiveness of our entrepreneurs, an increase in the quality of products and a reduction in prices for the population, “said Nikolai Starostin.

According to a single development institute – the Corporation for the Development of the Far East and the Arctic, subordinate to the Ministry for the Development of the Russian Far East, today 24 companies with projects worth 12.4 billion rubles, the implementation of which will employ 1.4 thousand people, have the status of residents of the Yakutia PDA. Moreover, about half of the announced projects have been successfully completed – 11 enterprises have been launched, 2.4 billion rubles have been invested by residents and 488 local residents have been employed.
