🇮🇸 Helsinki “got to glow us” at Slush 2023
Press release from Íslandsstofa
Representatives of over 60 Icelandic start-ups and investors actively participated at the annual start-up and tech extravaganza SLUSH which took place in Helsinki last week. Business Iceland, Iceland Innovation Week and the Embassy of Iceland in Helsinki led the delegation and organized two special Icelandic side-events.
To break the ice, HE Ambassador Harald Aspelund and his wife, Ásthildur Björg Jónsdóttir, hosted a reception at the ambassadors’ residence on 29 November. The reception was attended by, among others, representatives of Icelandic start-up and technology companies, foreign investors and others interested in Icelandic innovation and technology.
On Thursday, November 30, Business Iceland, Iceland Innovation Week, and the Embassy invited to the special networking event “Get to glow us!” at Messukeskus conference hall. With its northern lights inspired lights and drinks, the event’s goal was to connect Icelandic start-ups and technology companies with international investors and other possible partners.
The First Lady of Iceland, Eliza Reid, travelled with the delegation and was a guest of honour at both events.
Here you can find a list of companies in the Icelandic delegation this year and below are a few pictures from the events.
